It’s awards season once more in Philippine Cinema. And 2017 brought about very good indie and mainstream films to its viewing public thanks to the several film festivals where most of these nominated movies came from.
Last May 22nd, the Famas Committee treated it’s brilliant and outstanding nominees to a Nominees Victory Party Dinner at Victorino’s Restaurant. Not everybody in the more than a hundred Noms List attended but majority took time out from their very busy schedules to come and mingle and catch up with one another with the rest of their fellow noms.
Respeto movie heads the list with 15 nominations. Some of the cast of Kiko Boksingero were around in the likes of Yayo Aguila and Noel Comia Jr. vying for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actor along with Thop Nazareno for Best Director.
Also spotted are the reps for Birdshot, Changing Partners, Bagahe, Paki, Deadma Walking, Bliss, Bomba, What Home Feels Like, NeoManila, Tu Pug Imatuy and Love You to the Stars And Back among several others.
The 66th Famas Awards Night will be held at the Solaire Theater on June 10, 2018 to be hosted by Robi Domingo, Kim Chiu and Piolo Pascual.

Incumbent President Ms. Francia C. Conrado with Head of Jury Ricky Lee led the celebration and handed out the Plaques of Nomination along with surprise treats to every nominee.
Lance Raymundo hosted this fun and informal get together. Overflowing cocktail picks and drinks lasted through out this special evening with the stars and production people of all nominated films.
