“Becoming a flight attendant was a dream that never became real for me. I went to different training schools to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge, but nothing materialized because God had a better plan,” Garcia revealed.
Garcia’s persistence paid off. From only three students in April 2010, ICATS slowly but surely grew and there was a rapid increase of enrollees in 2014. This forced them to transfer to a bigger office with more classrooms. To accommodate the increasing number of students this year, ICATS again transferred to a more spacious place and is now based at 907-A East Tower of the Philippine Stock Exchange Center in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
To date, ICATS has produced over 200 highly-trained graduates who now work in prestigious local and international commercial airlines, such as Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Fly Nas, Saudi Arabian Airlines, and Air Asia.
With a curriculum based on standards set by international flight attendant schools, ICATS’ competitive courses include personality development, aircraft familiarization, emergency situations and procedures, on-board services, and interview essentials. Students also get hands-on training from experienced airline instructors.
“The next chapter of ICATS’ history will be the most challenging and exciting chapter yet. The school will continue to passionately serve others and become a vessel of hope, especially to the young ones who are brimming with dreams to see the world,” Garcia said.
