The Flute Has Conquered The (Rizal) Park

A traditional music concert for the Pinoy community.

As a culminating activity of the #ASEANKoreaFluteFestival Philippine Leg, the talented and passionate flutists together with the rest of the traditional musicians held an ASEAN concert at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Luneta last December 2nd.

The program content is exactly the same as to what they performed at the Carlos P. Romulo Theater in RCBC Plaza the night before.

In the Beauty of Asia segment, our Philippines musicians team gave a splendid performance led by Kalinga Apayao flutist Benicio Sokkong.

Festival Director Qinglun Tan also tried to work out and brief the audience for some participation during the initial part of the program.

Dr. Ramon P. Santos' "Ihip Ihipan" piece was once played and this time I felt it sounded extremely cohesive and yet very pleasant-sounding since the main audience were park goers and the general public.
