Know that feeling when you first saw the Harry Potter films or Game of Thrones and thought, “OMG that looks exactly how I pictured things in my mind when I was reading the book”?

Well, that’s how I felt as I sat through the premiere of  Netflix’s The Witcher.

Episode 1 sets a really high bar yet I’m confident the succeeding episodes will not have any trouble keeping us at the edge of our seats for the remainder of the season.

I have a feeling series will play well into the hearts of fans familiar with the games and the books. However, its true strength is in drawing in new audiences unfamiliar with the title.

There goes my 150-word spoiler-free review of The Witcher.

Disclosure: I play and own all the games. I have not read any of the books.
