You can’t get rid of the notch that easily, apparently.

A photo showing the Xiaomi Mi 8 notch in one-handed mode is drawing criticism online. The said photo was posted by Astargea on June 2 with the caption “Welp” without any context or additional information.

It shows how Xiaomi engineers handled the notch by rendering black pixels in the covered area. It is yet to be seen if Xiaomi has any plans to release an update that would remove the notch in one-handed mode.
